Family planning services are available with any of the doctors. Advice and information is available on all types of contraception including fitting of the coil by certain doctors.

Sexual Health screening for sexually transmitted infections without the need for an intimate examination is available. Just download the questionnaire below and contact the surgery to make an appointment. Sexual Health Questionnaire

Antenatal Clinics are held in Bangor on Monday from 9.00 - 10.30 am and Holywood on Tuesday morning from 8.45 - 10.00 am. Other times by arrangement.

Baby Clinics for eight-week developmental checks and childhood vaccinations are held in Bangor on Tuesday mornings 9.00 - 11.00 am and Holywood on Wednesday mornings from 9.00 - 11.00 am.

Minor Surgery for a variety of minor procedures can be carried out in the practice including removal of warts and skin lesions, excision of cysts etc. Please arrange an appointment with the doctor first for assessment and advice.

Well Woman Clinics are held each week by appointment. All women up to the age of 65 are encouraged to have a smear test every three years and are available at one of our nurse led clinics or with a doctor. Advice on hormone replacement therapy and breast examination is also available.

Asthma Clinics are run by our practice nurses in both Priory and Springhill surgeries to check on inhaler techniques, give information and help the doctors with any follow up care required.

Diabetic Clinics are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month in Holywood and the 3rd and 4th Wednesday of each month in Bangor. Appointments are sent out to diabetic patients at the doctor’s request throughout the year and patients have access to a dietician and podiatrist.

Test Results

Please call between 2.00pm and 4.30pm to enquire about your test results as our reception staff will have more time to deal with your request between these times.

Note that the practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and we will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.

When you take your test you will be told how long it will be before the results are returned to the practice.

It is your responsibility to check your results and to make an appointment to discuss them with your doctor if your are advised to do so.

A full range of advice and immunisations are available. Please complete an“Immunisation for foreign travel” form as early as possible, ideally no later than six weeks before your departure.

You will be issued with a prescription for the vaccines you require and should make an appointment for the Practice Nurse to administer these.  It is essential that vaccines are kept in your fridge at all times.

The Practice regularly participates in clinical research trials and on occasions you may be asked if you wish to take part in a study.  Such studies play an important role in developing new therapies however; you have the right to decline to take part.  All patient information is anonymised before being passed on to any third parties.

NON NHS SERVICES

Some services are not available on the NHS e.g. Private medicals; travel cancellation forms; BUPA forms etc.  A fee is payable and a list of charges can be accessed below and is also displayed at Front Reception at both surgeries.
